Cunard Line's Queen Elizabeth Short Cruises from Southampton
Cunard Cancels Cruises in Favor of Short UK based Sailings on the Queen Elizabeth - Queen Mary 2 Cruises Cancelled Through the End of November.

Cunard Line has cancelled its summer 2021 cruise program and will soon announce a series of short cruises from Southampton on board the Queen Elizabeth.

“With the UK Government confirming that domestic travel is close on the horizon, we are introducing a series of exciting, shorter duration holidays for Brits looking for the perfect staycation in Cunard luxury this summer. These will be sailings from Southampton, for UK residents, around the UK and will make the very most of the summer sunshine. We’ll be announcing further details imminently," said Cunard President Simon Palethorpe, in a statement.

Cancelled Cruises include:

  • All sailings on the Queen Victoria up to and including the August 27, 2021 cruise.
  • Queen Elizabeth’s summer Mediterranean fly cruise season and all departures up to and including 11 October 2021 are cancelled.
  • Queen Mary 2’s current program of departures up to and including 12 November 2021 are cancelled. This cancels most of the 2021 cruise season from New York (Brooklyn).

More details about sailing dates and itineraries will be announced for the short cruises from Southampton, UK. If demand for these cruises is high, it is expected that the Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will be phased back into service.
